Judith Ann (Markley) Franks

Judith Ann Franks, 77, of Paw Paw, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at her home in Paw Paw.

Judy was born June 25, 1945, in Portage, the daughter of Ralph Curtis Markley and Erlabell (Ellenwood) Markley.

Showering those around her with care and love is how Judy lived her life. She was a dedicated wife and mother and friend to all. Even after her terminal diagnosis, Judy continued to pour out love to everyone and remained positive in her final days. A woman of strong faith, Judy was a longtime faithful member of the Faith Baptist Church in Mattawan where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She appreciated the simple things in life such as her yard and beautiful flower gardens. She enjoyed spending her time out in the yard tending her flowers and fish pond.

Judy is survived by her husband, Virgis "Virg" Franks, two sons, Virg Franks and John Franks, one daughter, Toni (Steven) Woodbury; four grandchildren, Veronica Woodbury, Megan Franks, Trevor Franks and Kasey Franks, one great-grandchild, Rosalie Grace and two sisters, Jeanette Tiffany and Ruth (Peter) Olson.

Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Chris Jackson, and her  brothers, Eli Markley, David Markley, Steve Markley and Paul Markley.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, October 21, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, where a celebration of life will commence at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Rawsthorne officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton.
