Bill passed away Saturday evening, January 5, 2013 at his home with his family at his side after a lengthy illness. He was born August 4, 1963 in Detroit the son of Joseph and Louella (Elam) Sutcliffe and was a graduate of Old Central in Kalamazoo. Bill was the owner and chef of CafAC. 237 in Paw Paw. He was an excellent cook and participated in many charitable cook-offs including the Annual Gumbo Cook-off at Louie's, and the All-Star Chefs Dinner at Bravo. He enjoyed playing softball and sponsored the 237 Critters Softball team in Kalamazoo. He assisted with the Paw Paw High School Cross Country Team and the Paw Paw Track Team and was the Team Dad. On September 26, 1992 in Kalamazoo, Bill was united in marriage to Kelly Jo Smith who survives. Also surviving are his daughter, Paige; mother, Louella Miller of Kalamazoo; brother, Scott Sutcliffe of Oceanside, CA; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph, brother, Mark Sutcliffe, and Step-father, Robert Miller. A memorial service will be held Thursday, 3 p.m. (1/10) at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw with Honorable Paul Hamre presiding. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to his daughter, Paige College Fund.
