William Robert Hughes

William Robert Hughes, 64, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

He was born September 23, 1959, in Paw Paw, Michigan, the son of Robert E.F. Hughes and Rose Marie (Martin) Hughes.

Bill was a hardworking man his entire life. He had a long career working as a millwright. His mechanical skills allowed him to fix just about anything and if parts could not be found, he made his own to get the job done. In years gone by, Bill was an avid motocross rider and loved to go hunting. He will be remembered for being a giving man, who would help others as much as he could; however, being a little stubborn and having great pride, Bill would not accept help in return.

He is survived by his son, Robert Hughes of Schoolcraft, Michigan; daughter, Carrie (Marc) Campolongo of Williamsport, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Eliza Rose Hughes and Madeline Lenore Hughes.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. There will be a celebration of life held at Adams Funeral Home on Saturday February 10, 2024, at 11:00 am with Jon Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Chamberlin Cemetery, Lawton.
