William F. Darrow, age 72, of Kalamazoo, MI, and Lawrence, MI, passed away August 9, 2015. He was born October 8, 1942 in Galesburg, MI, to the late Forest and Erma Darrow. William is survived by his wife, Leora Kirkens-Darrow, four sons; James (Lynette), Kurt (Jodie), Kevin and Thomas, two stepchildren; Kim and Kevin Kirkens, eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren, two sisters; Samme (Lawrence) Bailey and Darlene (Corky) Smith, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his former wife Shirley in 2014. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lawrence United Methodist Church, 122 S. Exchange St., Lawrence. Burial with military honors will follow at Hill Cemetery, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the American Legion in Lawrence. Bill served his country in the Navy where he sent Morris Code aboard the USS Valley Forge; he retired as a millwright from General Motors, and was a member of the Lawrence United Methodist Church. In his free time, Bill enjoyed hunting.
