Wava passed away Tuesday evening, May 7, 2013 at Bronson Nursing and Rehab Center in Lawton after a brief illness. She was born December 7, 1932 in Waverly Township, Michigan the daughter of the late Frank A. and Gail E. (Palmer) Campbell. She enlisted into the U.S. Army WAC and served in Europe during the Vietnam War era. She obtained the rank of Specialist Fifth Class serving in the Medical Corp. She continued serving in the medial field as a nurse's aide. She was a devoted member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Paw Paw, served on the Paw Paw Housing Commission as a resident commissioner, and a member of the American legion, McGowan-Johnson Post # 68, Paw Paw. Surviving are two sisters, Faye (Allan) Blum of Hartford and Shirley (Ronald) Larsen of Zeeland, MI; brother, Roger (Pauline) Campbell of Clarkston, MI. She was also a beloved aunt, great aunt and great great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Thursday 6 to 8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Spencer of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan on Monday (5/13) 10 a.m. with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Paw Paw.
