Warren passed away Tuesday evening, July 2, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital with his family at his side. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on May 5th 1924 to the late Alvin and Alma (Engel) Frank. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the Army during World War II. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in food chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in 1947. In 1953 he relocated with his family to Lawton, Michigan where he was employed by Honee Bear Canning Co. In 1962 he founded Fruit Belt Foods in Paw Paw, later moving the company to Lawrence. He also founded Paw Paw Cycle in 1969. He was a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church in Portage and the American Legion, Waters-Hackenberg Post #220 in Lawton. In January of 1945 he was united in marriage to Audrey (Engel) who survives. Also surviving are their children, Michael (Karen) Frank, David (Karen) Frank, Sandra Stuart, and Carol (Craig) Beach; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Gordon (Sally) Frank; sister-in-law, Doris (Bob) Hoenecke; several nieces and nephews; his good friends, Archie Davies, Kip Kirby, and Lester Andracy who shared his love of fishing and hunting. All will miss this good and generous man. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Maxam-Frank on January 7, 2012. Family will receive friends Friday 5 to 7 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 6, 11 a.m. at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Portage with Rev. Dr. Paul Naumann officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton with military honors. A luncheon will follow graveside services. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Lutheran church, Portage.
