Vivian L. Kinney (Barry), age 93, of Paw Paw, passed away July 25, 2015. Vivian was born July 30, 1921 in Fort Fairfield, Maine, to the late George and Fern Summerson. Vivian is survived by her two sons; Philip (Bonita) Barry of Kalamazoo and David Barry of Vicksburg, step daughter, Sharon (Roger) Myers of Parchment, six grandchildren; Lisa (Dusin)Ruthven, Allison(John)Rigby, David (Rachel)Barry, Alan (Libby Paciorek)Barry, Steven(Jessi Ross)Barry, and Mike (Sherry)Myers, along with many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, four step-sisters, daughters of Georges and Irene; Ethel Reno, Mildred Maxim, Gladys Donovan and Edith (Darryl) Doughty, step brother, Robert Giggey as well as many nieces and nephews. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Max Kinney, her sister, Pauline Lamson, and her father, George (Irene) Summerson.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday, August 10, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. private burial will take place at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery, Kalamazoo. Vivian enjoyed teaching ceramics and making porcelain dolls, she had a special love for animals and she was a hospice worker for the Episcopal Church in Kalamazoo. She was a life member of the Royalty Lodge 497, O.E.S., Kalamazoo, a member of the Queen of the Daughters of the Nile and a member St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Paw Paw. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Humane Society or to the charity of your choice.
