Virginia M. Tironi, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at age 80.
Virginia was born on May 2, 1939, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a child, she lived in multiple cities with her family until finally settling in Lincoln Park, Michigan.
Virginia met her husband, John O. Tironi, at a gas station in Lincoln Park, Michigan and were married five years later on July 22, 1966. Virginia and John then moved to Port Huron, Michigan in 1978 to raise their family. Virginia retired from being an RN for 23 years in 2002, and she decided to move to Paw Paw, Michigan in February 2006 to be closer to her grandchildren and be a bigger part in their lives.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Virginia also loved being a grandmother. They brought so much joy into her life and made her so proud. Virginia was kind and giving, sometimes to a fault, and she never asked for anything in return. She will continue to root for her Detroit Lions, and if possible, will put in a good word for them. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She enjoyed attending Paw Paw United Methodist Church for the past 14 years.
Virginia joins her parents, John C. Wylie and Thelma A. (Blevins) Wylie, her husband, John O. Tironi, and all of her siblings, Jack, Robert, Helen, June, and Ruth in heaven. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Marcus J. Tironi and Shirley E. Tironi, of Mattawan, MI., a daughter, Regina A. Tironi, of Broomfield, CO., two grandsons, Andrew J. Tironi, of Mattawan, MI., and Austin C. Tironi, of Oak Ridge, NC., and her "adopted daughter" Julie Yakes, of Broomfield, CO.
