Virginia A. Rushing of Paw Paw, passed away early Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Virginia was born on August 11, 1937 in Benton Harbor, Michigan the daughter of Jacob and Irene (Klann) Stolz. She was united in marriage to Norman Rushing on February 28, 1955 in Cassopolis, Michigan; he preceded her in death on February 26, 2016.
Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, crocheting, gardening, figure skating and playing card games with her grandkids. The cookies she made were the best. She was a legal secretary, court recorder and reporter for most of her career. She also did taxes for family and friends. Virginia was a one of a kind person with the emphasis on kindness, she truly was the nicest person we all knew. She will be greatly missed.
Virginia is survived by her children; Norman (Mary) Rushing Jr., LeRoy (Frankie) Rushing, Ronald (Tammy) Rushing and Pam (Javier) Roque, 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband Norman, Virginia was preceded in death by a sister Elaine McLean and her brother Robert Stolz as well as her parents. Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 2:00 until 4:00 at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, where a memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Gunderson officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
