Violet passed away Tuesday morning, July 26, 2011 at Bronson Nursing and Rehab Center in Lawton. She was born December 29, 1914 in Defiance, OH. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw, and enjoyed golfing, playing cards and dancing. On April 26, 1985 in Gaylord, MI Violet was united in marriage to Gordon J. Gerou who survives. Also surviving are a son, Rex (Marilyn) Dilyard; daughter Bonnie Dilyard all of Flagstaff, AZ.; 2 granddaughters, Judy Soto of Benson, AZ and Kathy Dilyard of Flagstaff, AZ; 3 grandsons, Jeffery Dilyard of Phoenix, AZ, Scott Dilyard of Anthem, AZ and Mark Dilyard of Flagstaff, AZ; 5 great grandchildren; 2 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. Family will receive friends, Friday 5 to 8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society or St. Mary's Church.
