Timothy Scott Ramsey, Sr.

Tim was born September 19, 1959, in Michigan to James Ramsey and Ann Hazelton West. Being raised on the family farm in Lawton, Tim began working with grapes and asparagus at an early age. He attended school in Lawton and later in Paw Paw. At the age of 17, Tim joined the Army. Following his service, he relocated to Ohio where he started a family. It was after a few years in Ohio that Tim decided to return home to Michigan where he took a job with Coca Cola and worked for more than 20 years until his retirement.
Hunting, fishing, sports and traveling is what kept Tim busy in his free time and in retirement. He was especially a fan of U of M Football. Most important to Tim was spending time with his family and friends.
On July 29, 2005 Tim was united in marriage to his wife Dana. In 2020 they decided to retire to Cloverport, Kentucky, where they purchased some land large enough for Tim to hunt on.
After just a year in Kentucky, Tim passed away suddenly on April 5, 2021 in Louisville at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife, Dana Ramsey, four children, Tim Jr. (Thea) Ramsey, Branden (Jennifer) Ramsey, Kevin (Ashley) Ramsey and Cassidy (Preston Rife) Ramsey, stepson, Kyle Boyer, 12 grandchildren, Tim III, Johnny, Branden II, Elijah, Annabelle, Emma, Marleigh, Max, Xander, Caleb, Jakob and Owen, three step grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan and Jasmine, one brother, James Ramsey and one sister, Tina (Mark) Evans. Tim was preceded in death by his father, James (Addie) Ramsey and his mother, Ann (Mel) West nee Hazelton.
There will be a graveside service held Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton, with Nate Wilder officiating. following the graveside service there will be a gathering with food and refreshments at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
