Timothy Joseph Black

Timothy Joseph Black, 66, of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, peacefully at his home.

He was born November 5, 1956, in Elkhart, Indiana, the son of Harold  Black and Julia (Kovatch) Black.

Tim was a man of many talents and hobbies. His artistic abilities allowed him to create beautiful handmade sketches and paintings. His work was always very detailed. He eventually carried his artwork over to glass etching. After a while, he framed some of his work to share with others and for a few years, he had kiosks in a couple of malls where he sold his work. He also traveled around to different shows and fairs with his work.

In addition to his art, Tim loved racing. He worked on building race cars for a time. In his younger years, he played the guitar and drums. Tim was very supportive of others and was always willing to lend a helping hand and guidance. He helped to get several start up businesses going and after up and running, he was there to continue to offer support so they would remain successful businesses.

He is survived by his five sons, Benjamin (Tiki) Black, Zechariah (Dulce) Black, Lucas Black, Matthew (Dannielle) Black and Nathan (Kristen) Black, 10 grandchildren, Elijah, Kayden, Alexandria, Brady, Awdis, Hailey, Noah, Enoch, Alicia and Jackson, one sister, Barbara (Curtis) Hull and his former spouse Brenda Black.

Tim was preceded in death by his sister, Jill Black.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Phillip Phifer officiating. Following services, there will be a time of food and fellowship held at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to assist with expenses.
