Thomas Earl Lynn, 58, of Mattawan, MI, passed away Sunday April 18, 2021 at his home.
Tom was born July 3, 1962 in Grand Rapids, the son of the Earl Lynn and Ellan (Sealey) Lynn.
Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a longtime member of the American Legion McGowen Johnson Post 68 Paw Paw, where he was known as the "Omelet Man" for the amazing omelets he made at the Sunday breakfast. He was employed as an over the road truck driver, most recently with Ralph Moyle, Inc., and received his million safe miles driving truck. He was a member of OOIDA. Tom was very generous with his time to various veterans organizations. He was part of the Freedom Riders Motorcycle Group and also drove out east to pick up wreaths for the Wreaths Across America program. Tom especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Lynn Fox, his father, Earl (Judy) Lynn, his daughter, Jacqie Lynn and his son, Bryan Lynn; four grandchildren, Fiona, Ava, Hunter and Jaxon; three brothers, Herbie (Jamie) Lynn, Chris (Brenda) Lynn and Carl (Dolly) Lynn; two step-daughters, Alia (Vijay Johnson) Fox and Michelle (Felix Sanchez) Wilbur. Tom was preceded in death by his mother, Ellan (Seeley) Lynn.
Cremation will take place. Tom will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta. Due to the current conditions and limited number of attendees at the cemetery, friends are invited to share memories and refreshments at the American Legion McGowen-Johnson Post 68 in Paw Paw, Thursday, May 13, 2021 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
