Tom passed away Thursday afternoon, July 4, 2013 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo. He was born June 14, 1941 in Jackson, MI the son of the late Harry H. and Helen J. (Thomas) Hill. Tom was a graduate of Vicksburg High School Class of 1959, and then Ferris State College with a degree in Pharmacy. He owned and operated the Hills Prescription Shop for 31 years in Paw Paw from 1963 to 1994. He then pursued a hobby of farming for many years. Tom and his wife Heather were key leaders for the Black River Rocking T 4-H Club in Paw Paw and members of the Paw Paw United Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading, traveling, spending winters in Arizona, golfing, telling stories, and spending time with his family and friends. On June 6, 1959 in Leonidas , MI Tom was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Heather A. Sherman who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Eric (Tammy) Hill and Steve (Patty) Hill all of Paw Paw; six granddaughters, Taylor, Samantha, Corinne, Emily, Laura and Julia Hill; sister, Jacqueline L. Bauman of Battle Creek; niece, Kim Davis; nephew, Kurt Bauman and many cousins. Family will receive friends Sunday, July 14th, 3 to 5 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, Paw Paw United Methodist Church or the Paw Paw Public Library.
