Ted passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 31, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. He was born in Belleville, IL on May 19, 1938 the son of the late Andrew and Emma (Duensing) Sinkewiz. He was a graduate of Belleville High School and Southern Illinois University with a degree in Institutional Management. His employment was spent in Pharmaceuticals with a 25 year career as plant manager for Walgreen Laboratories in Chicago and Kalamazoo. Ted was an avid "do-it-yourselfer" with mechanics, plumbing, carpentry, and gardening. Those who knew him could always count on sound advice to learn these skills for themselves. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Paw Paw and the Boys Scouts of America. Throughout his life Ted served as a volunteer in his community and the Boy Scouts of America earning the distinguished Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts of America. On July 19, 1969 in Carbondale, IL, Ted was united in marriage to Marian Elaine Johnson who survives. Also surviving are 6 children, Charles Mull of Reston, VA, Liesa (Frank) Robarge of Big Pine Key, FL, Daphne (Leon) Colman of Orlando, FL, John (Mary) Sinkewiz of Decatur, IL, Stevan Vuckovic of Paw Paw, Vaughn (Sabrina) Sinkewiz of Arlington, TX, 10 grandchildren, Michael Robarge, Alexander, Kaytlyn, Daniel, Zoe and Joshua Mull, Kairo and Ehril Sinkewiz, Aaron and Joshua Osbon; 1 great grandchild, Kiari Robarge-Morrissey; brother, Giles (Vivian) Sinkewiz of Gainsville, VA, brother, Andrew (Asako) Sinkewiz of Vacavilla, CA, sisters-in-law, Geraldine Bedwell and Donna Bedwell, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Harold Bedwell and a granddaughter, Camilla Sinkewiz. Family will receive friends Friday (2/3) 2-4p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw and Saturday 11 a.m. to 12 noon at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Paw Paw where services will be held at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery in Kalamazoo, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts of America Troop #167 or Van Buren County Senior Services.
