Dr. Tammy Jeffries, passed away suddenly January 15, 2016. She was working as a Postdoctoral Fellow for Western Kentucky University at the time of her death. Originally from Michigan, Dr. Jeffries graduated from Paw Paw High School. Tammy is survived by her mother Roberta Jeffries (Goens) her sister Christine and her Brother Herbert and sister in law Connie as well as many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Herbert Jeffries. Tammy is aptly described in this quote from one of her colleagues "Tammy loved to share deeply of her life, her experiences and by doing so, she gave away pieces of herself. She lives on in each of us that got lost in time listening, laughing and sharing. Dr. Jeffries participated in many service and social organizations and enjoyed many personal and academic achievements. Being selected to present at national and international conferences was one of her favorite activities. Often her presentations were in response to her published works. As both a teacher and a student of life, Tammy's inquisitive and creative nature provided her a wealth of awards and recognitions. Burial has taken place at Cuddeback Cemetery Paw Paw. An open house in celebration of her life will be held April 17, 2016. To continue her work the "Left of Center" 501(c)3 a nonprofit organization is being established in her name.
