Spencer Hale Cowles

Spencer Hale Cowles, age 18, passed away Monday, March 18^th, 2024. He was born December 24, 2005 in Kalamazoo, MI, the Son of Catherine Cowles.

Spencer was raised in Kalamazoo and had the privilege of attending Plainwell Schools his entire academic career. He was not a stellar student!,  but he excelled in Friendship!! He played football and was a good swimmer. He enjoyed D&D with the best group of players, and the many hours of multiple video games!

As a child, Spencer enjoyed the outdoors!! Many years of camping with the Cowles Family Up-North Camping (even Grandma and Grandpa Craddock joined!) Much appreciation to all the older cousins that allowed dirty, young, diapered Spencer grabbing on for a hug!

As Spencer and his Mom moved on through life, they enjoyed various trips and traditions. Going to Florida for Spring Break was their first excursion. Never forget the Bathroom Spencer! From there, many trips to Chicago, Houston, Detroit and Mexico. Mostly trying to vacation where Spencer could indoor sky-dive! A favorite tradition was going to Annual Thanksgiving Detroit Game (They won this year!) One of the last trips taken together was to a Detroit Lions Play-off Game (They won!)

Spencer was great with animals. He was fortunate to have had Mamie, Tiger and Little One his entire life. Mamie was the best cat for a kid like Spencer!

Spencer was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandfathers, Charles Craddock and Ray Cowles. He was preceded in death by a fantastic Aunt LynD!

Spencer is survived by his Mother, Catherine Cowles and maternal Grandma Lois Craddock. He had many Uncles and Aunt, along with cousins, that touched his life in many ways. Countless friends of his mom made impacts on his life.

Spencer is also survived by his girlfriend Aubriana Farrow, and the following “People Spencer Likes”: Jackson Stouffer, Andrew LaPena, Evan Redmond, Noah Miller, Brandon Courtney, Shawn Anderson, Alex Courtney and Cody Williams.

Spencer Cowles was the best Son any Mother could have asked for.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m at Friendship Wesleyan Church, 1285 102nd Avenue, Plainwell. A memorial service will begin at 1:00 p.m.
