Shirley passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. Shirley was born July 28, 1955 in Kalamazoo, MI the daughter of Otho and Pauline (Sirrine) Gillette. She worked for many years at Knouse Foods in Paw Paw and loved her job. She also enjoyed going to the casino, but more than anything loved spending time with her grandkids. On August 18, 1999 Shirley was united in marriage to her loving husband, Duncan Newcomb, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Daniel (Joyce) Rigoni, Jennifer (Mike) Zordan, Anthony Rigoni and Tonja (Rob) Terveen, Levi Newcomb; step-children, Shannon Newcomb, Duncan Newcomb, Jr. and Jamie Sirrine; grandchildren, Danny, Kyle, Jacob, Samantha, Joshua, Mckena, Jack, Emilee and Ryann; mother, Pauline Gillette; brother, Glenn Gillette. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary; father, Otho Gillette and brothers, Duffy and Kyle. Family will receive friends on Friday (11/9) from 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
