Shirley passed away Wednesday morning, June 5, 2013 at her home. She was born on April 26, 1934 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Paul Leo and Bernice Sophie (Berkowitz) Ziegler. Shirley was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paw Paw and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and her grandchildren. She was a helpful and caring person, helping friends and protecting animals. She enjoyed flower gardening and working at her daughter's Farmers Market. On August 22, 1953 in Paw Paw, Shirley was united in marriage to Clifford Farrow who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Toni (Dennis) Swarthout, and Phylis (Mark) Koronka; 5 grandchildren Paul Blakely and fiancAC. Danyelle Weir, Damian (Vanessa) Nicey, Andrea (Jason) Goodin, Angelina (Al) Houston, and Brandon Holt (Shannon Rice); 7 great grandchildren; 3 sisters , Dolores Wolownik, Geraldine Whitworth, and Patricia Breitenbach; a brother Paul Zeiger; and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by a daughter, Paulette Blakely and a grandson Philip Blakely. Family will receive friends on Saturday (6/8) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Joseph Xavier celebrant. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
