Sherry Ann Brooks

Sherry Ann Brooks, 53, of Paw Paw, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

She was born January 8, 1970, in Dowagiac, Michigan, the daughter of Jerry Brooks and Wilma (Dolly Gillette) Dempsey.

Sherry attended Decatur schools and graduated from SWMC. She worked as a Medical Transcriptionist. Sherry had a big heart that always lent a hand to those in need. She was known as "grandma" and "mom" to many, not just to her biological children and grandchildren. She enjoyed any social event and gatherings, whether that be with her family or friends. She made at least one new friend everywhere she went.

Sherry is survived by her parents, Jerry (Cora) Brooks and Wilma (John) Dempsey, two sons; Mark Hall Jr. and Michael Hall, one daughter; Katelyn Brooks, grandchildren; Alexis Kirby, Trevor Ransom and Michael Jr. and sister; Cindy (Karl) Guetschow, and step-siblings; Kelly Wolcott, Robin O'Connor and Troy Bodi.

Sherry was preceded in death by her brother; Jerry "Al" Brooks Jr.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw, where a memorial service will commence at 12:00 p.m. with Mike Heflin officiating. Sherry will be laid to rest next to her brother at Harrison Cemetery in Decatur. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for an educational trust fund for Katelyn.
