It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Paluch, who left us on September 26th, 2024. A kind and loving soul, Sharon brightened the lives of everyone she met. She never knew a stranger, and her infectious laugh and sharp wit made her a joy to be around.
Her greatest joy was raising her children, a role she cherished deeply. Sharon was a constant presence in their lives, volunteering at their school and making countless memories as they grew up. Her love for family didn’t stop there—she adored her four grandchildren and thought the world of them. Ever the memory keeper, Sharon was constantly printing photos of their special moments, ensuring that everyone had copies of each milestone in their lives.
Her nurturing spirit touched not only her family but all who crossed her path.
She was born on December 25, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Dale Kemp and Marie (Morrissette) Kemp.
Sharon was blessed with a life full of adventure and travel, which she cherished dearly. Her most treasured trips were the ones she shared with Jim, her beloved husband of 55 years. Together, they made unforgettable memories during their nine trips to Hawaii, a place that held a special spot in their hearts.
A talented and musical individual, Sharon shared her gift of song with the world, even having the incredible opportunity to travel to Italy, where she sang in front of the Pope—a highlight of her life that brought her immense pride.
Sharon was a dedicated supporter of veterans. She felt a deep respect and gratitude for those who served, and she gave her time and energy to support causes that honored their sacrifices.
Sharon’s warmth, kindness, and boundless love will be forever missed, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Douglas (Sandy) Paluch and Jacqueline (Robert) Germeroth; four grandchildren, Henry Germeroth, Emma Germeroth, Makayla Robinson and Megan Robinson; sisters, Diane (late John) Kalchbrenner and Sandra (Noel) Jolgren. Sharon was also thrilled to know that she had her very first great-grandchild on the way.
Sharon was reunited in heaven with the love of her life, James Edward Paluch, who preceded her on June 21, 2022.
