Sarah passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 17 surrounded by her family. Sarah was born on October 2, 1937 to the late Hubert and Nannie Idelle (Stanford) Spires. Sarah had a passion for arranging artificial floral arrangements. She was also a long time member and clerk at the Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Mattawan. On October 27, 1973 Sarah was united in marriage to her loving husband, Alvin Reynolds, who survives. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Brenda Town and Teresia (Stan) Groenheide; Step-daughter, Robin (Barney) Huff; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; adopted daughter, Biff Wortinger; 3 brothers, Herschel (Judy) Spires, Ralph (Dorothy) Spires and Bobby Spires; 1 sister, Leva (Phil) French. She was preceded in death by 3 daughters, Marilyn Torregrosa, Betty Davis and Mary Hungerford; 2 sons, David and Ernest Davis; step-son, Rodney Reynolds; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers, H.L. and John T. Spires. Family will meet friends on Monday, November 21 from 11:00a.m. - 1:00p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, where funeral service will follow at 1:00p.m, Pastor Ronald Smith Officiating. Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Mattawan. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
