Sandra Jean Castro

Sandra Jean Castro, 67, of Lawrence, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

She was born June 27, 1957, in Paw Paw, Michigan, the daughter of the late Cletis Johnson and Frieda (Nealy) Pruit.

Sandra loved collecting "Precious Moments" figurines and had them displayed throughout her home. She took great care of them and was always looking to add to her collection. Sandra had the true "gift of gab" and never met a stranger. Her bright presence and kind soul attracted many friends. More than anything, Sandra adored her family. She loved taking family trips with her late husband, Keith every year and spent countless hours with her grandchildren. No one could put a smile on her face like they could. 

She is survived by her son, Joshua (Cary) Johnson; two sisters, Frieda "Sis" (Bill) Eddy and Connie Clouse; five brothers, Harold Daily, Jerry (Brenda) Daily, Don (Rose) Johnson, Andy (Diana) Johnson and Chris (Rhonda) Johnson; her two beloved grandchildren, Ethan and Natalie Johnson and her brother-in-law, Clyde Thompson. 

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Castro on February 23, 2015; sister, Judy Thompson and grandchild, Devon Brooke Ryba. 

Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw.
