Roy passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at his home. He was born February 28, 1924 in Marshall, the son of Roy and Bernice (Beatty) Hess. He was a resident of Paw Paw since 1975 and was active in the Paw Paw Lions Club. Roy enjoyed hunting and fishing in the area, golfing with the Lion's Club and bowling at Rainbow Lanes.
Roy is survived by his wife of 69 years, Alice; daughter, Alice Hopson of Altamonte Springs, FL, sons, Roy Jr. of Otsego and Russell of Lake Station, IN; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan.
