Ronald Everett Burza

Ronald Everett Burza, age 65, of Gobles, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, June 16, 2023. He was born in Paw Paw, August 6, 1957, to Everett and Wilma (Haley) Burza.

Ron learned at age 16 that he had muscular dystrophy. He lived with progressive weakness and increasing intense, chronic pain all his life. Ron had a strong will to live, never gave up and by far outlasted all expectations. He wholly understood the importance and value of life, family and friends. Although Ron could be stubborn, he was a truly gentle and sensitive soul. He loved to tease and joke, work in his yard, putz in the barn, and have a good bonfire. Ron developed a passion for the blues. He and his wife attended many festivals and concerts where Ron met many of his favorite artist. Ron’s greatest pride and joy were his son and grandchildren.

Those left to treasure memories are his wife, Shelly (Muller) Burza, mother, Wilma (Haley) Burza, one son, Chris (Dana) Burza, two grandchildren, Griffin and Layne Burza, brothers, Jim (Rachel) Burza and Norm Burza, mother-in-law, Lois Muller, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Everett Burza and his nephew, Paul Burza.

An outdoor open house gathering to share memories and stories will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 1 - 4 p.m. at Ron’s home.
