Ronald Gregory Budzyn

Ronald Gregory Budzyn, 82, of Portage, MI, died December 23, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 14, 1937 in Detroit, MI, the son of Valentine and Catherine (Bohon) Budzyn.

Ronald attended St. Mary's Catholic School and later graduated from Mattawan High School in 1956. He joined the United States Army in 1961 and served faithfully until 1963. On Aug 6, 2011, he married Carol Lash. They were members of St. Catherine's of Siena Catholic Church. Ron was a member of the American Legion, the Moose Lodge, Eagles, and the Knights of Columbus. Ron loved to play the accordion and he and his wife, Carol were nominated for the Michigan State Polka Hall of Fame. He also loved football, especially University of Michigan, GO BLUE!

Surviving is his Wife, Carol Lash-Budzyn, 8 Stepchildren and Grandchildren that he loved as his own, two Sons, Dan Budzyn and Cory Budzyn, Grandson, Jeremy Budzyn, Granddaughter, Morgan Budzyn, as well a host of other loving family and friends. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at Saint Mary Cemetery, LaGrave Street, Paw Paw, on Saturday January 11, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Friends will be received at the Knights of Columbus, 32373 Red Arrow Highway following the graveside service at 2:00p.m..
