passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the White Oaks Assisted Living Community in Lawton, MI. Richard was born on September 2, 1926 in Eaton Rapids, MI, the son of the late Bert and Lois (Cady) Winters. Richard served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a long time member at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Paw Paw. He also enjoyed bowling and golf, as well as working with his model trains. Richard is survived by his loving wife, Shirle Vannier-Winters; step-daughter, Niki (Chuck) Conklin; step-son, Raoul (Kathy) Vanier; grandson, Richard Winters; 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen DuBay, Betty Brown, Ann Nikoson and Joan. He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Winters; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Southwest Michigan or to a charity of your choice.
