Randolph J. "Remo" Moreno, age 71, of Paw Paw, passed away April 3, 2020. He born January 9, 1949 in Guatemala City, Guatemala, to the late Joseph B. Moreno and Delores (Tennant) Moreno - Culbertson. In 1966, he entered into the Army, stationed in Fort Knox, KY, then to the 82 Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC, he was then transferred to the 101st Screaming Eagles and went to Vietnam in December, 1967. While in Vietnam, Randy earned three Bronze Stars and the Accommodation Medal. He returned to Paw Paw from Vietnam in December, 1968, where he then resided until he passed away. Randy was a "mans man" he loved the outdoors as well as antiquing and woodworking. He enjoyed helping friends with projects over the years.
In April 1976, he married Colleen McKee. He is survived by his three sons, Josh Moreno, Justin Moreno and James McKee, granddaughter, Kiara McKee, one brother, Paul (Patti) Moreno, one sister, Jackie Moreno-Arter along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as well as many close friends. Randy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph Moreno and Delores (Tennant) Moreno-Culbertson, step father, Arthur Culbertson, paternal grandparents, Jessie and Meria Moreno, grandmother, Charlotte Smith and his brother Joseph “Chuck” Moreno, who passed away the same day as Randy in Texas.
Private burial took place at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Paw Paw. Due to current circumstances, there will be a public memorial service held at a later date.
