Paul Ray Abnet II, 56, of Paw Paw, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Rose Arbor Residence in Kalamazoo.

He was born March 8, 1966, in Kalamazoo, the son of Paul Ray Abnet and Sandra May (LaPine) Oakleaf.

Paul was a loving and supportive father to his son, Dylan. He loved attending Dylan's baseball and basketball games. He was an all-around avid outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing and most of all his yard. One might say Paul was nearly competitive when it came to the appearance of his lawn.

He is survived by his son, Dylan Roy Abnet, Dylan's mother, Susan Wolownik,  two sisters, Vicky (Doug) Hickok and Erin (Andrew) Kissinger, one brother, Tal (Debbie) Bentley, along with many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother and father and his sister, April Bentley.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. There will be a memorial funeral mass held at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw, Friday, January 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Jon Tran officiating. Inurnment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to his son, Dylan's college fund.  Checks made payable to his aunt Vicky Hickok or Erin Kissinger in lieu of flowers.

The family would like to thank the amazing staff at Rose Arbor for their compassionate care given to Paul during his final days.
