Pat passed away Tuesday morning, February 7, 2012 at Bronson Nursing and Rehab in Lawton. He was born June 5, 1941 in Almena Twp. the son of the late Richard and Frances (Masten) Clippinger. Pat served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Life Member of the V.F.W. Post, Marcellus, member of the American Legion Post # 475, Schoolcraft, Paw Paw-Allegan Elks Lodge 1621, Paw Paw, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3531, Schoolcraft, Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 4310, Paw Paw, Kalamazoo-Portage Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #88, and AARP. Surviving are 3 sons, Patrick R. (Jennifer) Clippinger-Hills of Spokane, WA, Richard A. (Michelle) Clippinger-Hills, of OR and Justin Clippinger of Mattawan; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Rayman of Allegan, Marian Paro of Schoolcraft, Lois West of Stuttgart, AR, Dorothy Trautman of Kalamazoo and Laura Sirrine of Mattawan; 4 brothers, Frank LeRoy Clippinger of Portage, Henry Clippinger of Kalamazoo, Robert E. Miller of Safety Harbor, FL and LeRoy Fulton Clippinger of Kannapolis, NC; many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Vivian Annette Smith and Oriene Pleyte. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan with military honors. Memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home.
