Ottilie passed away peacefully at Meadow Woods Nursing and Rehab Center in Bloomingdale, MI on Sunday, July 6, 2014. She was born February 11, 1919 in Boerne, TX to Arthur and Dora (Margolis) Schulze. In 1961 Ottilie moved her family from Texas to Gobles, Michigan. She was involved in Cubs Scouts, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and 4-H. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Sewing items for others brought her great joy. That included making dance costumes for her granddaughters, and cheerleading uniforms for local schools. Her greatest joy was making clothing for children in third-world countries, and also sewing teddy bears which were donated to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and The Shriner's Organization for children with terminal illness or burn victims. She also loved gardening, bird watching, and arts and crafts. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children Ruby D. Weeks Esq. (Dr. H.M. Weeks) of Carlisle, PA, Donald J. Brown Jr. (Marsha) of Paw Paw, MI, Ernest Brown of Gobles, MI, Jack Brown (Jill) of Paw Paw, MI, Charlie Brown of South Haven, MI, Dora Stubbs (Kevin) and Debra Brown both of Paw Paw, MI, and Vermilya Ramirez of Houston, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kimberly Weeks and Noelle Pinney DVM (Chris Pinney DVM) all of Carlisle, PA., Arthur J. Dompier Jr. of Knoxville, TN, Anya Dompier of Kalamazoo, MI, Donald Brown III (Amanda) of Colorado Springs, Co, Nichole Schipper (Tim) of Kalamazoo, MI, Christopher Brown (Samantha) of Kissimmee, FL, Ryan Brown (Beth) of Walker, MI, Carrie Jo Brown of Gobles, MI, Jacqueline Brown of Kalamazoo, MI, Brooke Stubbs and Springe Horner (Mark) all of Paw Paw, MI, Samantha Testin (Scott) of Rockville, MD, David Geer, Colby Geer and Amanda Brown all of Paw Paw, MI, Ann Michelle Smith of Kalamazoo, MI, Derek Smith (Tracy) of Jacksonville, FL, and Cherie Smith of Houston, TX. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Arthur Jay Dompier Sr., two sisters, and two brothers. In accordance with Ottilie's wishes cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends Friday, July 18, 2014, 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, where a memorial service will be held following visitation at 11 a.m. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospitals for Children
