Orson D. Camfield

December 13, 1926 — April 17, 2017

Orson D. Camfield, age 90, of Paw Paw returned to his Heavenly Home on Monday morning, April 17, 2017 following a short stay at Bronson Hospital.  Orson was born December 13,1926 in Gobles Michigan to Lewis and Estela (Kalisiak) Camfield. For many years his firm belief in Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, sustained him and gave him peace.  Orson worked as a diesel mechanic for McKee Lines in Mattawan and Waterland & White Freightliner in Kalamazoo. He was preceded in death by his brother, Forest (Fuzz) Camfield, sister, Rosalie Camfield, step-brother, Morris Sharrard, and stepdaughter, Mary Murch.  Surviving are his wife, Carolyn C. Camfield; five children/step-children; Robert (Dawn) Camfield, Patricia (James) Buckert, Andrew (Lana) Murch, John (Lela) Murch, and Julie Pullen; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister, Blanche (Camfield) Parker and sister-in-law, Ernestine Camfield.  Family and friends will be received Saturday April 22, beginning at 11:00 am to 11:45 am at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. A graveside service will follow at 12 noon at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan. Mark Jones of Believers Fellowship, Watervliet, Michigan will be officiating. The family requests contributions, in Memory of Orson D. Camfield, be sent to Bethany Christian Services, Paw Paw Program, 6687 Seeco Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
