Odis Eugene Rogers

Odis Eugene Rogers, 80, of Paw Paw, MI, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at his home.

He was born March 5, 1941 in Hardy, Arkansas, the son of Milton Rogers and Ora (Henry) Rogers.

Odis was hardworking and dedicated to his family and community. He was a Life member of the Paw Paw Lions club where he served as President for 2 years, and was awarded the Melvin Jones Award. He also served as President of Paw Paw Youth Baseball for 9 years. He retired as an Electric Field Leader after 31 years of service to Consumers Energy. Odis was awarded the 46th Presidential award by Consumers Energy for saving a life by administering CPR at the Lions Club. In his spare time, Odis enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, tending his garden, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren.

On July 6, 1963, in Lawton, he married Patricia (Elsenheimer) Rogers who survives.

He is also survived by his three sons, Vincent (Jan) Rogers, Ronnie (Linda) Rogers, Randy (Anette) Rogers, daughter, Christal Clark, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Odis was preceded in death by his one brother and six sisters.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 29, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Buddy Turner officiating. Burial will conclude at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan. Following the committal service, there will be a luncheon and time of fellowship at the Paw Paw Lions Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
