Myrtle passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Clarebridge of Brookdale Assisted Living in Portage, MI. Myrtle was born March 29, 1930 in Sullivan Township, MI the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Geerds) Mokma. She enjoyed reading, bird watching and was musically gifted, particularly with a soprano voice, and her beloved violin. She also enjoyed playing board games and Bridge. Above all else, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. While she faced extensive challenges in her life, as an adult she found faith in Christ Jesus and held confident in Him as her savior. On December 30, 1948 in Fremont, MI Myrtle was united in marriage to her loving husband of 64 years, Harold Tubergen, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Judy (Donald) Boss, John (Pat) Tubergen and Jerry (Marcy) Tubergen; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brother, Stephen (Mary Jean) Kolk. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua David Boss and a brother, David Kolk. Per her wishes, private family services will be held with interment following at Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
