Milton passed away suddenly Tuesday morning, April 24, 2012 at his home. He was born May 4, 1928 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Michael and Anna (Majek) Wolner. He served in Korea in the U.S Army. After the military he joined the Michigan State Police and graduated from the police academy in 1957. He was stationed in Ionia, Bad Axe, Bridgeport and Caro retiring in 1982. After retirement from the state police he served as an enforcement officer in Tuscola until moving to Lawton in 1996 to be near his daughter. Milton was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw was an avid reader and enjoyed playing Euchre, hunting and fishing. On November 4, 1957 in New York, NY Milton was united in marriage to Elsie Orgonik who survives. Also surviving are 3 children, John (Alane) Wolner and their children, Quinn Wolner and Devyn Snowhawk of Elizabeth, CO, Maryann (Dan) Hubbell and their children, Nick, Jacob and Kristina Hubbell of Kalamazoo and Joseph (Shannon) Wolner and their children Kyle and Annika Wolner of Girdwood, Alaska; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Frank and Joseph Wolner. Family will receive friends Friday (4/27) 4 to 7 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Funeral service will be held Saturday 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Ron Mortiz officiating. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw.
