Mildred Viola Henson, age 85, of Grand Junction, returned home to her Lord and Savior on March 3, 2018 at her home. She was born September 4, 1932 in Wolverine, Michigan to the late Alfred and Viola (Osborne) Randall. She is survived by her five children, Sharon Bishop, John (Linda) Henson, David (Lorrie) Henson, Lori (Brad) Hunt and Mary (Jimmy) Blackstone, 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and four sisters, Ruth Proctor, Loraine Young, Joanna Bond and Betty (Leonard) Blake. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, John Henson and two sisters, Virginia Pierce and Pearl Richter. Mildred had a strong faith and relationship with the Lord. This was evident in her love for traditional gospel hymns and her dedication to prayer. She took great pride working in the yard, caring for her flowers and garden. Most of all, Mildred was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed being around children. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 9, 2018 beginning at 10:00 am at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, where a funeral service will commence at 12:00 pm with Pastor Jimmy Blackstone officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home. Mildred will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Kalamazoo following lunch.
