Michael passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born July 6, 1967 in Chicago Heights, IL. Michael a lifelong resident of Paw Paw was a graduate of Paw Paw High School and the Culinary Institute in Orlando Florida. He was an avid bass fisherman and was a member of the Bass Fisherman of America. Surviving are his parents, Lou and Horst Hildebrant of Paw Paw; 2 sisters, Donna (John) Donovan of East Lansing, MI and their son Nicklaus, Nancy Murton and her daughter Ruby of Paw Paw; maternal grandmother, Donna Hamre of Paw Paw; 2 uncles, Honorable Paul (Karen) Hamre of Lawton and Andrew (Lisa) Hamre of Orlando, FL; aunt Anita (Joel) VanderHill of Holland, MI; several cousins; very close friends, Dane and Carol Bowers of Paw Paw. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Merle Hamre. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21st, 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw with Pastor Ron Moritz officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church School, Paw Paw. Time with the family and refreshments will follow the service.
