Martha Ann (Slayton) Merriam

Martha Ann Merriam, 73, of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday January 27, 2021.

She was born March 24, 1947 in Cadillac, Michigan, the daughter of the late Jeremiah Slayton and Alice (Way) Slayton.

Martha was very outgoing and enjoyed being with people. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to spend time with her friends with the Red Hat, Garden Club, working on craft projects and crocheting. She especially looked forward to the Christmas Eve parties with her family.

On, April 17, 1965, she married Kenneth  Merriam who survives.

She is also survived by her two daughters, Melissa "Missy" (Jim) Holroyd, Kendra (Ken) Kyle; seven grandchildren, Lindy, Grace (Zay), Genna, Halie, Shane, Gavin and Avery; five great-grandchildren, Ella, Azariah, Elijah, Ezra and Finleigh; two brothers, Joseph (Joanne) Slayton and Michael Slayton.

Visitation will take place Saturday, January 30, 2021 beginning at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. at the Kalamazoo Covenant Church, 5708 East Main Street, Kalamazoo,  where a funeral service will commence at 12:00 pm. with Pastor Dana Arledge officiating. Cremation will follow services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
