Marion passed away Friday afternoon, February 8, 2013 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born February 1, 1930 in Saginaw County the daughter of the late Oushel K (Bob) and Lulu (Walters) Harris. Marion worked at Lufkin Rule, drove school bus for Birch Run Public Schools and retired from the Post Office in Burt, MI. on January 1, 1990. She was a trustee on Taymouth Twp. Board, Trustee and V.P. on Birch Run School Board, and taught catechism at St. George Catholic Church in Saginaw for 27 years. She was the first woman to act as a lecture at St. George Catholic Church. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1948. Her greatest accomplishment and joy was her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. On July 30, 1949, Marion was united in marriage to Peter P. Hudeck who preceded her in death in 2005. She was also preceded by her brothers Donald, Robert, and Bert Harris. Marion is survived by two children, Michael [deceased] (Gretchen) Hudeck of Mattawan, Paul (Sally) Hudeck of Birch Run, and Debora (John) Stermer of Paw Paw; 6 grandchildren, Peter (Sarah) Hudeck, and Elizabeth Hudeck, of Saginaw, Nathaniel Hudeck of Birch Run, Nicholas Hudeck of Mattawan, Michael and Kaitlyn Stermer of Paw Paw; great grandchildren Caroline and Daniel Hudeck of Saginaw; 3 sisters, Charlotte Gaudreau, Margaret Ames and Katherine (Don) Tate; brother, Gerald (Estella) Harris all of Saginaw; special niece and nephew Charlene Daniels and Steve Harris, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 11 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Joseph Xavier celebrant. Interment will follow in St, Mary's Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. As Paul Newman said, "It's been a great ride."
