Margaret passed away Wednesday morning, Nov. 27, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born July 23, 1919 in Whiting, IN the daughter of the late Stephen and Veronica (Mucha) Kristoff. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw, the church Altar Society and the Light of the Lord Prayer Group. Margaret was also a member of the First Catholic Slovak Women, Polish Women's Alliance, and Maccabees. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and playing pinochle. On August 29, 1940 in Decatur, MI, Margaret was united in marriage to Alex Kussy, Jr. who preceded her in death on July 11, 1986. She was also preceded in death by, a son, Marvin Kussy; two brothers, Frank and Joseph Kristoff; sister: Anna Knack. Surviving are three sons, Ronald (Mary) Kussy of Paw Paw, Paul Kussy of Benton Harbor, and Stephen (Michelle) Kussy of Sedro Woolley, WA; daughter: Marian (Wendell) Wojdak of Chatsworth, CA; seven grandchildren, Michelle (Roy) Middlebrooks, Anne (Ken) Wendling, Emily (Shawn) Ryan, Veronica (Matt) Vyvial, Cassandra Kussy, Mary Elizabeth Kussy, and Cori Lyn Wojdak; seven great grandchildren: Justin, Kay Lyn, Mara, Alex, Catherine, Connor and Landon; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Sunday (12/1) 4 to 8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Joseph Xavier celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorials contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or charity of choice.
