passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012 at her home. Marcia was born September 15, 1948 in Paw Paw, MI, the daughter of the late Darcy and Edna (Overacker) Manning. Marcia grew up in Almena Township, where she attended the country school, until she moved on to Paw Paw High School, graduating in 1967. She had a passion for knitting and always dedicated her time to helping others. She was an advocate for both the Cub and Girl Scouts and spent many years as a nanny for foster care. More than anything else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Marcia is survived by a daughter, Darcy (Gary) Hicks; son, Charles (Wynn) Madgyesi; Grandchildren, Travis, Tiffany, Trevor and Darcy Hicks; Stephene and Alexis Madgyesi; Brother, James (Nancy) Manning; niece, Lisa (Kip) DeVall; nephew, Steven (Sheri) Manning. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurement with a graveside service will take place at the Almena Cemetery, 11:00am on Friday, March 23. A luncheon will follow at the Almena United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for the grandchildren.
