Lynn Barden Watterworth, age 78, of Paw Paw, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 24, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy (McDonald) Watterworth, four children, Jeffrey (Nora) Watterworth, Pamela (Daniel) Ballett, Gregory and Kelly Watterworth. He has six grandchildren, Adrian, Sebastian, Clayton, Carley, Noah and Madison. He is survived by one brother, William (Linda) Watterworth and sister-in-law, Betty Watterworth. Lynn is preceded in death by his father and mother, Carlyle and Fay (Barden) Watterworth and his brother Donald Watterworth. Lynn was born in Lubec Maine on November 16, 1939. He served his country in the Army and was discharged as a Captain. He was united in marriage to Nancy McDonald in New Mexico following his service and the couple started their new life in Paw Paw after he accepted an offer to teach. Lynn retired after 33.5 years as a math teacher and was also a highly respected and loved baseball, basketball and assistant football coach. In addition, he taught golf and was a driver’s education instructor for many years. Lynn supported his community and was a longtime member of the Paw Paw Lions Club. He had a strong faith and relationship with the Lord, and his love and dedication to his family was his greatest joy. He was active at Oakland Drive Church of Christ, where he taught Sunday school, but most recently, he was an active member of Covey Hill Baptist Church in Paw Paw. Lynn was an avid sports fan and golf was his passion. He followed all of Detroit’s professional sports teams closely, never missing a game. His passions will be shared and remembered fondly as well as his unprecedented love for the Lord and his devoted family. The family will receive guests on Thursday, March 29, 2018 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Covey Hill Baptist Church, 33566 28th Ave, Paw Paw, with Rev. Daniel Wilson officiating.
