passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in Kalamazoo, MI. Lucille was born September 21, 1921 in Watson Township, Allegan County, the daughter of the late Roy and Norma (Pulsipher) Pierce. Lucille was very active in church. She had a passion for gardening and was a long time member of the garden club of Mattawan. She also loved quilting, needlework and crocheting. On September 16, 1940, Lucille was united in marriage to William Gayhart, who preceded her in death on March 20, 2000. She was also preceded by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Lucille is survived by 4 daughters, Barbara Feighner of Wyoming, Carol (Michael) Dowdell of Texas, Betty (Randy) Everett of Otsego and Anna (David) Scott of Portage; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Valerie) Pierce of Caledonia; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Friday (3/23) from 6:00-8:00pm at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00am, Pastor Archie Lhamon officiating. Interment will follow at the Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Township. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Michigan.
