Lori Anne Thiede, 46, of Decatur, passed away Monday January 10, 2022 at home in Decatur.
She was born July 20, 1975 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Allen Thiede and Linda (Wilson) Thiede.
Lori was a God fearing woman with a huge heart and zest for life. She loved to travel and was a huge fan of road trips. Her real passion was working with children, making craft projects and reading with and to children. She was known as aunt "LoLo" by many children. Her enormous book collection could reflect that of a library.
She is survived by her father and step-mother, Allen (Terry) Thiede, two sisters, Nicole (Virgil) Dale and Michelle (Tom) Dowsett; five nieces, three nephews, four great nephews and three great nieces.
Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Linda (Wilson) Raab and her step-father, Robert Raab.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 17, 2022, beginning at 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 721 Pine Street Paw Paw, where a funeral service will commence at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Philip Phifer officiating. Cremation will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gods Hands 4 Kids, a faith based group that helps fund items for children in foster care at 10685 Concord Drive, Berrien Springs, MI, 49103 or to the Youth Development Company (YDC), a nonprofit, for their Daycare Book Fund to help under served children receive books at the holidays.
