Linda Jean VanDussen, 63 Years, passed away at home surrounded by her family in Paw Paw, MI on January 16, 2020 after a long battle with Early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on May 22, 1956 in Kalamazoo, MI, daughter of William and Phyllis (Calkins) Rolfe.
June 1974 was an especially busy and special time for Linda. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School, and married Mark Todd VanDussen the very next week! Two years later, they had their first of three children. In addition to spending time with her family, Linda worked at National City and PNC Bank retiring twenty five years later. She made many life-long friends from her time there.
Linda had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She had an infectious giggle and beautiful smile that her family and friends will cherish.
Surviving her husband of 45 years, Mark VanDussen; three Children, Laurie (Matt) White, Kari (Andy) Blake, and Jeff (Crystal) VanDussen; 13 Grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Kaylee, Ashley, Gavin, Caleab, Anna, Evan, Jacob, Victoria, Waylon, Jaxson, and Hayley; Sisters, Patricia Weber, Shari (Tim) May, Jackie (Terry) Pickett, and a host of other loving family and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dave, and brother-in-law, Don Weber.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Linda’s life at the Apollo Banquet Room at St. Julian Winery, 716 S. Kalamazoo St., on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Kindred Hospice Care or paying it forward and buying someone her favorite drink; a coke from McDonald’s!
