Lila passed away Monday afternoon, October 1, 2012 at her home with her family at her side. She was born August 9, 1928 in Decatur, MI the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Graham) Parish. Lila was a homemaker who loved being home and caring for her children. On October 7, 1943 in Decatur, MI Lila was united in marriage to Norman F. Bigelow who preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by 4 children, Norma Bigelow, Jerry Bigelow, Max Bigelow and Randy Bigelow; 5 siblings, Junior Parish, Marion Parish, Daron Parish, Arden Parish and Betty Vantzelfde. Surviving are 9 children, Linda Streeter of Lawton, Earl Bigelow of Lawton, Robert (Rose) Bigelow of Paw Paw, Connie (Jim) McAlister of Lawton, Bonnie (John) Miller of Kalamazoo, Steve (Christine) Bigelow of Marcellus, Richard (Jody) Bigelow of Decatur, Gordon (Barbara) Bigelow of Decatur, Vicki (Richard) Specht of Lawton; 28 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Larry Parish and Lee Parish both of Decatur; many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of choice.
