Leroy passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Bronson Lakeview Hospital in Paw Paw. Leroy was born September 5, 1942 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Raymond and Delphine (Wantroba) Zach, and step-mother, Loretta. After graduating from Lawrence High School, he served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, he worked for Elingsworth in Paw Paw and later retired from the United States Postal Service in 2002 after working as a letter carrier out of the Kalamazoo Post Office for 45 years. He loved his Harley and playing computer games and in his younger years enjoyed fishing, bowling and golf. On August 14, 1965 Leroy was united in marriage to his loving wife, Barbara (Bonarski) Zach, who survives. Also surviving are his 3 children, Tracy (Syed) Alvi, Robert Zach and Michele (David) Streich; grandchildren, Bryan, Amanda, Megan, Alexa, Lauren and Alex; brother, Ronald (Jeanette) Zach; step-sisters, Deanna and Virginia. Family will receive friends on Tuesday (9/25) from 6:00-8:00 p.m at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a Rosary service will take place at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial be on Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw, followed by Military Honors by the McGowen-Johnson Post #68. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
