Joe passed away Friday evening, June 8, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born September 22, 1939 in Battle Creek, MI the son of late Kenneth H. and Agnes L. (Hagen) Cook. Joe served in the U.S. army during the Korean War serving in Africa. He was a member of the American Legion, McGowan-Johnson Post #68, Paw Paw and the Legion State Champion Color Guard Team. He was also a member and Past Master of the Paw Paw-Lawton Masonic Lodge #25 F&AM. Joe was a computer tech and enjoyed working with electronic and was a hunter safety instructor. Surviving are nieces and nephews, Gregory (Brenda) Cook of Bixby, OK, Scott (Kim) Cook Porter, OK, Catherine (Steve) Packer of Lawton, Kevin (Kimberly) Cook of Lawton, and Barbara (Bill) Louthan Portage; several great and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Lou McKee, brother, Kenneth G. Cook. As per Joe's request there will be no visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to Maple City Veterans Memorial Park c/o of the American Legion Post #68.
