Larry Allen Wheeler

Larry Allen Wheeler, 76, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Rose Arbor Residence in Kalamazoo.

He was born September 15, 1945 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Chester Wheeler and Caroline (Keegan) VanDerHayden.

Larry enjoyed a longtime career with John Deere in East Moline, IL, where he retired after 30 years of service. He and his wife, Patty, enjoyed traveling and taking the kids to Adventure Land on many occasions. He was an avid sportsman, loved fishing, football, playing baseball and the bowling league. He also enjoyed watching westerns and playing card games while enjoying his junk foods, especially chocolate. He had a huge love for his family and the grandchildren. Larry attended The Church of Jesus Christ in Decatur.

On September 5, 1988, he married Patricia Goodrich Wheeler who survives.

He is also survived by his three sons, Brian Wheeler, Joseph (Christina) Wheeler and Jason Wheeler; two step-sons, James Rardon and Thomas (Tabitha) Rardon, along with three granddaughters.
