Larry passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 peacefully at his home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, 1 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church, Kalamazoo. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac next to his wife Sue. He was born May 5, 1935 in Cadillac, MI the son of the late Elmer and Lucille (Gilchrist) Nystrom. He attended High School in Cadillac and entered the Marine Corps with an honorable discharge of service. He left with a Sharp Shooter status. He married Sue Peasley in 1974 and they lived in Kalamazoo where he was employed by General Motors for 30 plus years. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and volunteered his skills as a gardener. Larry took special care of the church grounds, making it immaculate. That was one of the services he did for the Lord and the church friends. He was so generous and loved family and friends. He will truly be missed. He had several nephews and nieces who he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Peasley Nystrom; 3 sisters, Arlene L. (Curtis A.) Miles, Florence L. (John) Bowman and Dorothy (Robert) Schut; 2 brothers, Darwin (Faith Bodway) Nystrom and Donald H. (Elijean Betten) Nystrom. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Fellowship Church.
